My Mom came to town yesterday to attend a retirement party of a former co-worker. We didn't have too much time with her but the time we did have we made the most of. She brought Lainey a birthday cake so we had it after our rushed dinner. (girls and I ate early so we could run to dance class and Mom had to run to her party). Lainey tried really hard to blow out her candles but big "sissy" helped her out.
Mom also brought the girls both gifts. They got little Princess Dolls. They are like baby dolls but are supposed to be Belle and Cinderella. They also sing songs when they have their hands squeezed. The girls love them. Lainey also was given a pair of Pooh Bear slippers. She's recently taken a liking to wearing slippers. They're the big chunky kind and very funny to see her walking in them.
Jay was invited to go the the Star's Box at the Leaf game with a bunch of big wigs tomorrow night so I think the girls and I may head to my parent's for the night. My brother is going to be there with his 2 boys. Our kids play pretty well together and don't see each other that often so it might be fun.
Anyway, that's about it for now. My baby is turning 2 on Tuesday! I still just can't believe it yet. Time to get ready to go get my big girl from school, guess that's it for today.
