Take me out to the Ballgame

OK, I think I'm finally ready to post a picture or two of my girls. Well this is a start anyway. :o)

We had an exciting weekend and I have lots of pictures of it all. The biggest event was our trip to the Blue Jay's game. This was a first for both of the girls. Jay was given tickets at work and so we thought we'd give it a try. We were both a bit nervous to take our monkeys since we were sure they would act up and we'd have to leave early. It turned out to be a perfect day. (well way better than we had expected anyway)

The drive in to Toronto was pretty good. I had hoped Lainey would nap on the way but they both stayed up and were pretty wired. Then we got there and found our seats. It was nice to have the 4 seats even thought they spent most of their time sitting on our knees. Neither of them was too excited about the game but more the atmosphere and the fact that there were grown ups yelling and screaming and it was ok. Lauren especially loved that she could scream when a run was scored and she didn't get in trouble for it. I think all of the excitement was a bit much for Lauren as she fell asleep in the 4th or 5th inning.

Little (napfree) Lainey however loved it all. She liked the screaming part too. She sat there and yelled "BALL, BALL" while looking down on the field. She also did the wave when it came around putting her arms up and screaming when it was our turn. She was able to dance on my knee for the 7th inning stretch. She got a lot of attention from the fans in our row. She was being pretty cute. She loved the attention, she's our little ham.

After watching the game we walked a bit and showed Lauren the "biggest building in the whole world" also known as the CN tower. She thought that was pretty cool.

Then we drove home, Lainey finally had her nap in the van. We must have been on a high from the day going so well that we decided to take the girls to Chucky Cheese for dinner. We had avoided that place for almost 4 years but we finally did it. Lauren was in heaven. She loved the games and seeing the big mouse and eating the very pricey pizza. It was funny, she had a big stack of tickets from the games she had played. Jay took her to cash them in for her prize and she had enough for a plastic whistle a lolly pop and 2 little toy rings. She thought that was the greatest. I must say, McDonald's is no longer her favorite restaurant. :o)
